Also known as test spurling is a maneuver that is used to evaluate the cervical spine .
How the runs Spurling maneuver?
- Patient seated positions or sitting.
- Explorer located behind the patient.
- Head of the patient laterally inclined. (Evaluate inclined to the right and one on the left)
- The palm of the patient's head is placed and with the other hand generate pressure in vertical plane to the head.
Maneuver positive spurling indicate :
- Compression of the cervical root foramen.
- Cervicobraquialgias, if paresthesias or radiating pain occurs.
